    Hilarious!

It also shows IE's poor/lacking support for PNG graphics. I had to open the image in GraphicConverter.

calma, cdhostage. When IE prompts you what to do with the .png, tell it to open it with Preview.

....uh, for some reason, IE won't let you pick any Os X apps in that dialog?! Nevermind.

    Really now..?

Ever looked in IE's preferences? You can set IE to either show PNGs itself or to use the QuickTime Plugin.. no need to use external viewers or OmniWeb för PNG-files.

Really? It must be a preferances issue because according to the PNG web site, IE 5 for Mac "currently holds the title of best PNG-supporting browser available."

Ya, IE correctly displays pngs as long as it's embedded into the web page. By default, it doesn't know what to do with them if you try and open them in their own windows.

Every windows browser I've seen completely fails on <a href="http://www.gacmug.org/pngtest.php"; target="_blank">my png test</a>. Most Mac browsers are OK with them until you go back to Netscape 4. I think Opera was another failure of the test.

Go ahead and test your browser. Hell, test EVERY browser you have access to. I'm still collecting data.

Xeo.. Doesn't Mozilla/Netscape 6 render PNG-pictures well in Windows? My experience is that it does. Mozilla even handles alpha channels in PNGs well.
