Multiple desktop feature from Mandrake

Hi!

I have a friend that is putting much effort into getting me to try linux. Mandrake to be spacific. I'm not that interested, but there is a multiple desktop feature she uses in one of the GUI's that is realy appealing. The entire desktop, or screen sldes over and in comes more realestate.

Could it be possible to hack this feature, or a similar feature into OS 10, or is it already available somewhere?

It's a great idea though. KrazyFool did you submit a request for this feature to Apple? I'm under the impression you have made a request, or two.
