I was just trying to set up an HP 64x something or other deskjet printer on my parents OSX machine, and i keep getting some stupid -9124 (something close to that at least) error. it sees the printer, has the right model number etc., it just won't kick through.

anyone able to get their HP printers to work through USB in OSX? i have the latest drivers from HP, but so far no go.

I have a USB LaserJet 4050 that has worked since the day 10.0 came out. I'm sorry I can't help more than that. Did you wade through the support articles and discussions on apple's site?

I still don't have printing with my new G4. This is bs. I installed the HP drivers for my 935C, and tell it to add the printer to my list in the Print Manager (or whatever its called). Every single time I try to add the printer, the application quits. I seriously think I have a virus or something.

I have a problem with my HP PSC 750, y'know the inexpensive printer/scanner/copier device. I didn't install the OS 9 software it came with, but went straight to hp for the latest drivers and software. Installed with no problem. Then when I tried to add the printer and tried to set using USB...it appeared with a ? over the printer icon and it said unsupported printer. I got it to work when I chose HP AiO instead of USC. Now when I look at Print Center it shows as a PCL Kind of printer. It prints fine in OS X apps, but not Classic, but not a big deal to me.

I just bought the HP PSC 750 so we could print out our taxes (stinking VA don't have electronic filing)

But I never used the drivers it came with I jsut downloaded the ones from the hp website and installed them, then rebooted to 9 and installed them there, everything worked fine. (turbotax started up and said there was no printer, but when I clicked on the print button it worked just fine)

I know the drivers were kinda strange, there were 2 install programs for each OS, however I think the second one only installed the help files -- every thing works fine now tho...

I have a 935c, which worked fine until a few days ago, now programs quit when I try to print something. The problem popped up out of nowhere.

Ihave had a lot of difficulties with 4 hp printers, two USB and 2 laserjets on the network at work. Everything worked fine until I upgraded to OS X. I have all the latest drivers and am using 10.1.3.

Most of the problems with the USB printers including my 960c--which seems no longer to be supported by hp--were solved by trashing the preferences file.

I still cannot print reliabily from Now-Up-To-Date (I get a kind of quilt instead of the month) or from most of Office v.X programs including Explorer (I have a variety of problems).

I am wondering if the problem is my computer? I have a 400 Mhz bronze keyboard PB with only about 196MB of RAM but with 6GB unused on the HD. I especially have problems with densely formated Word documents. Or perhaps it is an Office problem? Sadly I upgraded to X the same time as I started using Office v.X

i bought the deskjet 960cse last week. it came with os x drivers. i've printed a few things, and it seems ok so far. the only problem is trying to align the 4x6 photo paper properly, but it does print.

what irks me is that none of the software they promise will work on mac actually does. so dont expect any free mac software with HP printers. i found my epson printer to be more mac friendly, but i liked the output quality of the HP better.
