Effect of partitioning in X

When I partition with Disk Utility in X, does that have the same effect as "zeroing" in 9 with the "Disk Utility", i.e will my HD come out *absolutely* clean / as clean as with zeroing? Thanks already.

    Anyway....I didn't find the Zeroing function under X's disk utility.



    I would suggest you to boot from the OS 9 CD when doing zero data.......

    Yes, one has to go into 9 for that.



    BTW I have a Titanium now. Just hope that it's bigger than yours, or haven't you even gotten one yet?

    nope I only have iBook. Small size is more important for me than the wide screen
