exactly. Mine is sending it as a bmp.
I noticed when I send a picture via email, that I took on my iPhone, it's a BMP.
That makes it larger than it really needs to be (file size).
Is there a way to change the picture file type to JPG?
I just tested it on 2.1 friend, it's a jay peggy for me.

Ok, this is weird. I think that for some reason, Outlook at work is saving it as a BMP. Firefox uses JPG.
I should have mentioned too that it's a first gen iPhone with 2.1 software.
