This is what I've been trying to describe for years ... yeah, I know everyone sez that, but this is a good representation of what I think is the new form/function:

Ebooks are the future. A smaller, paperback-sized one would also be great.



I don't care about tactile keyboards if I'm traveling or just want to surf or read, so spare me your whining about the speed of keyboarding ... I get it. I wouldn't need much more typing than is done on an iPhone.

    EDIT: Actually, I want mine without the screen border in the middle. So Apple, I expect you to solve this problem. Use flexible display technology or something. But get it done!

    I once had a chance to type on a concept of something similar to that kind of keyboard. to get a feel for it, try drumming your fingertips on a wooden desk for a few minutes. It's not just about the tactile feel, it's about ergonomics. typing on this keyboard would do worse for your wrists then months using a mighty mouse.

    i posted about this ages ago and most people scoffed at the idea. i mean, they already own the perfect trademark; ibook!
