Software update not working

suddenly today (Sunday) my software update is giving me a "cant connect to internet" message and telling me to "check my configuration". IE is OK so does this mean its a problem at Apple's site. Site seemed OK although very slow when I checked it. If it is my configuration where the hell do I find it under OSX ?

mine too....just upgraded to 10.1.4, perhaps that is it??? not a big concern as i have always distrusted software update....but it did seem stable and nice under 10.1.2...g

*sigh*

Don't always assume your software is messed up just because you can't perform something such as connecting to a SPECIFIC server...

Apple's Software Update server went down (a more likely reason to why you can't connect).
