Whats up w/this?
I get this on several X Macs. Is something wrong? Why so many Zombie processes?
What can I do to get rid of them?

What's a zombie process and why is it on your computer?

So, can I manually notify the parent the the zombie should be killed?

I don't think you can turn a zombie back to a child process. For whatever reason the child process lost its parent and turned into a zombie.
A kill -9 should get rid of it though.
