Good bye windows, hello Apple

Well I?m making the switch, and was wondering if anyone knows of any book, articles, web pages, etc. specifically for the wintel convert. IE, if you do ?n? in Windows here is how you do ?n? with apple OS (x or classic). Any help is much appreciated.

    Welcome, Convert. I would recomend the book Mac OS X Unleashed by the authors John Ray, and William C. Ray - do not let the 1424 pages scare you off, it covers everything!



    I would also recomend the book Insanely Great by the author Steven Levy. A very good book on the history of Apple, this one only 336 pages.

    I have heard that the "Missing Manuals" series is quite decent and affordable for the beginner (oh, and under ~1,500 pages )



    I think there is a Missing Manual for OS X (as well as iMovie, etc.)



    Never read them myself... (Actually trying to remember the last manual I read that wasn't a man page... )

    A quick hint would be most of the alt-whatEver like alt c for copy is simply command c for the mac. Just change alt to command, although its been a bit sence i have used windows i dont know how much truth this still holds.

    I am a convert for merely 2 months,

    there are pros and cons about mac when

    compared to pc, but I am happy that I

    converted!



    guys in this forum are really helpful

    all my queries were very well answered,

    even some really 'stupid' questions (to

    a newbie).



    I have got the ' missing manual' as well

    a good book for convert or new comer for imac!
