Anyone see those cnet videos of the keynote? I'm preparing to get flamed for this but didn't he pronounce it Jag WIRE?

If so, this could be telling.

Or it could be me being an idiot.

I just think he pronounced it wrong.

    The proper way is:

    JAG-GRAR

    or the classy way is:

    Jaggu-ar

As any good swahili linguist will tell you, there's only one correct way to prounounce "jaguar":

    gd?aagw6aar [sic]

It's pronounced like Jag You Are.

Or if you're Scottish like me it's Jag Yer.

    J

So Steve sayeth, so shall it be. From this day forward when thou speak the name of the spotted cat, do so as your master has done. And honorest your NDA whilst thou is at it.

With an East Coast US accent, it's pronounced:

    "Jag-wahr"

Someone should get in touch with the folks doing the audio pronounciations at the <a href="http://www.m-w.com/home.htm"; target="_blank">online Merriam-Webster dictionary</a> site.

There is an anemic WMP that barely plays anything, but it does play the C|Net streams.

I wonder, for 10.1 did Jobs pull a Seymour Skinner and pronounce it "PEW-ma"?
