I notice that after todays's iTunes update my gift card account balance is no longer shown at the top RHS when logged in at the iTunes Store, it shows just my ID. And neither is there any info on the account balance when checking the "Account" menu item. Oversight? Done on purpose?
I types this messege with my iPhone and omg it works! So much better no lag while typing. Ok a little lag here and there but no crash yet! That's good!!!! And not much lag at all usually I crash by now Woot. This make me happy. I just went to 3 websites that crash the most and not 1 crash yet! Go apple thank you!

I downloaded both. iTunes works as normal but the update for the iPhone is useless as far as the Podcasts are concerned.
I hope this fixes Safari's v2.x issues, finally. I'm amazed at how buggy that build is and how long it's taken them to fix it, especially considering that that 1.x was fine.
My normal podcasts are well over the paltry 10 megs that Apple allows over GSM. It seems that AT&T's crappy network it the cause of Apple screwed up policies. Just another step in getting rid of the iPhone. What a waste.[/QUOTE]
It does suck that Apple has designed the iPhone or is jsut too lazy to maintain separate regulations for the iPhone. I understand AT&T's 10MB max for apps and podcasts, but this shouldn't carry over to other countries and networks that don't have an issue with it.

By the way, you are right about the jailbreaking stuff.
It's back, seems to have been a back-office problem unrelated to the iTunes update (but may have been caused by Apple's servers being swamped by near-simultaneous iPhone, iTunes and ATV-firmware updates).
Ever thought that when you're the only one experiencing it that maybe there is something wrong with your installation/setup?
If you check Discussions under Support at apple.com, you'll find many people are having this problem and are waiting for Apple to fix. Seems to happen when scrolling in the iTunes Store.
Will it stop my iMac from crashing when I scroll in iTunes?
You're having that problem too? I thought it was just me. I hope they have worked to make it more stable. I never had crashes like this until the iPhone and the newer iTunes versions that support it came out.

Used it right then (accessing the NZ iTunes store) and it doesn't happen here. Just out of curiosity - how many 'iTunes upgrades' have you installed?
Me? 8.0 -> 8.01 -> 8.02
Have you tried deleting the old configuration files in your users library directory and relaunch it?

Oh yeah. Same thing here. I mostly use my iPod for podcasts as well and have run into the exact thing.

I mostly use my iPod to listen to podcasts. I subscribe to dozens of them, and every day I have at least a full day worth of new shows to listen to at work. For years, I would set my iPod preferences to automatically sync the last 5 unplayed episodes of only the podcasts I have selected in the preferences panel. This serves me well for two reasons. First, my iTunes library is over 250GB, so it won't all fit on any iPod, but also, it keeps my podcast menu clean. I can just press play, and know that I have not heard anything that will come up.
Ever since iTunes 7.7, that doesn't work any more. I now have to manually manage the copying of content to my iPod, otherwise it will try to sync everything and I'll run out of room. The only thing even close to a workaround that I've been able to come up with is to uncheck the individual tracks of the stuff I don't want before I plug the iPod in. It's annoying, and really takes away from what I felt was one of the iPod's great user experiences.

I love being correct.
One of the fixes listed is the frequency of dropped calls is less. Can ANYONE verify this?
Maybe in a few days.
Geez, it was just released.
