Office v.X Dockling

I have been wanting to make a very simple dockling for Office v.X: I just want it to bring up the four apps included so I don't need all the icons in my dock. Does anybody out there know how to create docklings and could they give me a little advice?

I don't want to go with a folder with aliases inside because I don't want to have to control-click to bring up whatever is inside.

Any thoughts?

I was wondering the same thing, because I wanted to make a dockling that would show all my games. I have the one-button mouse(PLEASE don't get into the "Apple needs a two-button mouse" argument), so just putting aliases into a folder is time wasting.

couldnt you just put the office folder in the dock? i think it'd be much easier than coding an dockling. or inside the office folder, make another folder, place the aliases of the office apps in there, and then drag that to the dock, you can change the name to office and even paste the icon. same could go for the games. just testing the KISS principle: Keep It Simple.... aw, you konw the rest

Yes, i could do that. But then I am back into the control-click (or click-hold area). That is not what I want. I would like to be able to have a dockling that is similiar to prefling, in that I click and up pops a menu with all my preference panes on it. I just want to have it with Office v.X. If there is anyone out there with instructions on how to make a simple dockling, they would be greatly appreciated!

Docklings have been desanctioned by the Mothership and are well into passe.

What you really want (but don't know it, methinks) is a two-button mouse.

I'll just go down to the comp store and buy another mouse. You're right, why try to code something(I can only do AppleScript), when I've got a folder in my dock already.
