Turn off screen on iMac

Aloha,

I have a new iMac and will want a quick way to be able to turn off the screen when I leave the computer for the evening but need it to render a movie overnight.

It would need to wake back up when I moved the mouse or hit a key.

Would an script to put the screen to sleep be the best way?

    Hot Corners.

System Preferences -> Desktop And Screen Saver -> Select "Screen Saver", Select "Hot Corners", pisck a corner and choose "Display Sleep" from the pull-down menu.

Now, whenever you flick the mouse pointer to that corner, it'll put the screen to sleep (but not the CPU.)

Thanks! That is exactly what I was looking for.

You can do the same thing with control-shift-eject.

Just thought I'd mention it because it's one of the poorly documented by kinda cool Apple keyboard things.
