Why is there no "Date Added" column view in the 'Downloads' Finder Window?

No sign, look:

Yet, in stacks it's one of the 5 choice views?

Am I missing something very obvious, or is this not (one of) the biggest oversights 'ever', on Apple's part?

The Date Added might be custom info recorded for the downloads folder or maybe it's added to the Spotlight comments or something in which case, they wouldn't modify the Finder for one folder. If that option appears in the Spotlight search options then they probably should have.

They used to do this with downloads in OS 9. They would add a URL to the file info saying where it was downloaded from.

The download docklet will have a custom menu though that probably doesn't involve changing the Finder.
