Google paying Apple?
I read an article yesterday http://www.computerworld.com/action/...intsrc=hm_list that said that Google pays Mozilla ~$60 million dollars to include Google as the default search engine in Firefox.
How much do you think Google is paying Apple to be the sole search engine on the iPhone? Would Apple ever consider using Live Search http://www.techflash.com/Microsoft_L...36599384.html? How much would it cost MS and would they pay it?

It is quite blatant in some cases. On the UK itunes store, Apple have put some O2 application offering with a 5/5 popularity rating. The customer reviews say it's absolutely terrible and has something like 2/5 for a review but Apple have it at the top of the chart because O2 is the exclusive network carrier in the UK for the iphone.
Google may not need to pay Apple as Google can give them stuff in return. Partnerships usually have two-way deals.

Then again, all they'd have to do is make a touch screen LCD that connects to your phone and make people buy a tethering plan
