AppleInsider is reaching more people in more ways than ever before, Temporary Insanity has become a very minor part of how AppleInsider reaches its audience.
This thread will now be moderated by the Senior Vice President of Product Marketing instead of the CEO.
I think the entire tech world has been psyched out by Apple and of Steve Jobs not doing Macworld. Everyone thinks now that nothing exciting is going to happen at the show. And thus why bother with temporary insanity.
Wouldn't it be interesting if something hot is actually debuted during the keynote?

I see the term "Perfect storm" being attached to everything recently, like "going forward" and other middle management speak, but I firmly believe that Phil will deliver pretty much what Steve would have had he been there.
The mini will be the focus, that much is clear, iMacs going quad core is too soon, so that will be later in the year, which I believe Steve will deliver with Phil's help at a special event.
but the "pundits" will be up in arms no matter what comes out at Mac world, if there is a one more thing and it turns out to be a tablet or diversification into a new product line, like Apple Branded Bottled Water(tm) then the "pundits" will be up in arms shouting that "Steve really should have launched it"
I believe it will be a good Macworld and to NOT get excited is to play the pundits game, just like being disappointed is.

you can't reinvent the wheel every year
So I guess they are not putting up temporary insanity for this go around?
Looks like the credit crunch has hit AppleInsider. They couldn't raise the cash needed to add one sub-forum to the website.
No offense Kasper

If that is true, they should just ask Congress for some cash; they're handing it out to just about anybody these days. AI at least is a worthy cause.
