You know when your macbook is closed, and when you open it, it automatically switches back on?

does it mean that the computer isnot shut down and is it good for the battery?

Is it best if u shut it down and turn it back on again?

i am a pc user now mac

Well, there will be some battery usage, but the computer is essentially off. So no, if you plan to leave your computer in sleep mode for a very long time then the battery will deplete, but on daily usage its okay to leave the computer on sleep mode because it won't use that much battery.

If you are on battery power alone, you can leave it in sleep mode (closed) during the day. But at night, shut down your macbook.

If you are plugged in to power, and your MacBook is in sleep mode, just leave it like that day or night. Now that you are a Mac user, your Mac is so stable you may hardly shut down or restart the computer at all.
