Why is it that all of the discussion of internal builds is at MacNN? Shouldn't this kind of stuff be here?

Maybe AI members are just better at sticking to the terms of their NDAs and/or not pirating software?

cNet is running a story that jaguar is going to be ready at the begining of Auguat. This would tie in nicely with new hardware announced at MWNY, and shipping in two weeks!

    Probably true IMO

I have an Apple source that said this this morning. He is a VP at my company and has ties to higher-ups at Apple. He told me that late July we would have inventory for an early August debut. This was part of a discussion about Exchange support in Jaguar. Things are looking good folks.

Could you please shed some more light on the Exchange support?

Please give me the link to the Exchange discussions! I have a company of 50+ desktop Macs, and we cant move ANY of them to OS X until we have an Exchange client that works natively in X. I mean really WORKS, as in email, calander, shared contacts, Active Directory, HTML mail, Palm support (?), etc

If Apple really wants to make my day, they could offer an Exchange server that really works.

    That would be a breakthrough.

I am running 6C75 on a G4 350 with 384 MBs of memomory, and I just gotta say it screams. I am very impressed and I am really looking forward to 10.2 when it hits the shelves. Anyone have any questions? Or any screen shots wanted?

    Questions:

    - Can you get Simple Finder to work? If so, I'd like to find out how that works.

    - Can you save Finder searches?

    - Are menus now more opaque?

    - Is the shadow mouse cursor still around?

    - What happens to the search box when you set the toolbar to display text only?

    - Anything new that we haven't heard of yet?

    Screenshot requests:

    - Screenshots of all the new cursors (like the make alias cursor)?

    - Anything particularly interesting and new (not endless shots of preference panels!).

    Oui oui!

One thing I believe many of us would like to see are QuickTime video snippets of Ink in action (aside from the one at WWDC). It's unfortunate Ink hasn't found its way into any of the recent (publically distributed) builds of Jaguar.
