OS9 had users and groups so others can connect to your computer.
What is the OSX equivalent?

sure i know what unix is.
What i want to know how can i access another computer on a network and access specific work files/folders.
I dont want the work files in the public folder if all and sundry can see if they jag my ip address.

looks the business but after i download it the dmg file wont mount so I cant install it.
damn computers drive ya nuts
