How do I order OSX 10.2 through Apple Edu. Store?
I have a friend who works for the distrct office of our local school system.
She gave me permission to order OSX 10.2 through the Apple Edu. Store.
After entering the zip code of the distrct office (the distrct office came up on a list) it asked for a proposal from the agent who purchases Apple products for the district.
I asked my friend if she knows who this is and she told me she's not aware of anyone.
I've read where friends and family of teachers and school employees have ordered from the Apple Edu. Store with no problems.
Am I missing something?

But you would simply go to store.apple.com, and then click 'Education' at the top, and then "Shop for yourself." It sounds like you're trying to make an institutional purchase, which you definitely can't do.
But if you're not really faculty or student, and Apple checks up on you, you could be in trouble. At least, you should have your friend order it, and then sell it to you.
Why don't you just try going to a college bookstore? They usually don't "card" for student IDs.
When I bought my (now unsupported "supported") iMac I had to fax Apple a photo of my student ID. That's all I had to do. Seems to me you got into the admin purchase route and not the student purchase route.
