    The short answer: You can't.

However, you can use TinkerTool to disable the antialiasing. You can also set the variable for the system font, but many programs are hard-coded to use Lucida Grande rather than that variable.

If you're really desperate to change the font, I've read elsewhere that you can replace Lucida Grande with another font provided that you modify the other font to act like Lucida. I don't recall the details of the process.

Are you sure it isn't your monitor that is fuzzy? The current font is perfect, imo...

I tend to agree with chych. I think the antialiasing in Mac OS X is beautiful. Have you calibrated your monitor lately?

No, I don't think Jaguar will have a new UI to allow you to replace Lucida Grande with a different font.

HTML sites? You can change the font of your browser, if you want, no problem.

i think its a classic example of Apple getting it wrong big time again - the soft fonts throughout the system are crapoloa and look rubbish <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" />

It sounds like you want to turn off anti-aliasing. The fonts themselves are not the problem.

Chronic complainer, does not listen to suggestions offered.
