I have movies that I use VLC to play and that Quicktime won't play, but I want to burn them to DVDs. Is there any program I can download because iDVD won't burn them b/c they're not Quicktime compatible???????

Thanks

    2 choices..

1/ DVD authoring program such as Roxio Toast will handle most file formats and produce a DVD disc playable on most standard players.

2/ Convert the video to MP4 using MPEG streamclip or some other converter (Kugi, Kuji??) and then import them into iDVD which will then make them into DVD's

1/ Is quicker but costs the price of the software

2/ Is free but takes longer

I've used MPEG Streamclip. Worked ok but was for a different transcode.

marcd, if you can post what the file format is I'm sure a few people here can give you the best possible answer.
