Glossy vs. Antiglare

I'm new to this forum. I'll soon be a convert from Dell to Mac. Is there much difference between Glossy vs. Antiglare screens?

    I like the antiglare ones cause the brightness is getting so good nowadays and it looks good outside in the sun

    I would also go with Antiglare on the same brightness criteria.

    It is just about the same brightness. The Anti-Glare however has some weird viewing angle issue and this is the 17 inch model. I had a 15 inch MacBook Pro and it had the same issue where if the screen was tilted back a little too much to the MBP's liking, the top would go really dark and that is something that didn't happen with the 17 Glossy model.



    I actually love the glossy for even color distribution and the better quality of the colors. Playing videos isn't that bad either.
