NEXT logo found hidden in OSX!

Just in case nobody else has found it, or even cares but while searching

for that "other" user picture for the logon screen i came to find a group

of icons with the NEXT logo on using Sherlock. The file is called (NSSharedGray.tiff). Some one at Apple must still like NEXT!

    Yep, that's been there since Mac OS X Public Beta and probably the DP's. Remember, in the Public Beta you could also switch to use the NeXTSTEP interface with Cocoa apps.

    yah, I still have it... man that was slow...

    anyway, brad, can you tell me how to enable the NeXT interface in the PB ?

    Well, when you configure your logon panal to display "Other Users",

    there is a picture displayed of a human shadow a white wires, I wanted

    that for my user picture, (tired of looking at the other "User Pictures").....you know that small tif picture next to a user name, yah

    that one, right there....there ya go.....

    The command is this:



    defaults write NSGlobalDomain NSInterfaceStyle nextstep



    To revert back to aqua, change "nextstep" to "macintosh"
