    case closed.

There have been many such rumored products backed up by patents that never got transformed into shipping products. This product may come to fruition, but that doesn't mean a declaration of confirmed will have been reasonable, even if proved correct.

Your overstated certainty seems more like reputation mongering than meaningful discussion. It comes across as "me me me" rather than "here is more evidence about the rumor".

Close enough for the purposes of this product, if it exists.

When the mactouch hits I'm going to start a mactouch ftw celebration thread.....in the current hardware section. My posts there will contain several instances of ALL CAPS and various sentances ending in "FTW!"

    And your all invited!

That will be a great day for tech indeed.

Steve can easily order some of his mercenaries to remove said "pairs" from the LG staff safely from his bed.

Mmm... Netbook AND OLED. Sounds to much of a prototype even if it were true. Then again. If it turns up by October this year, it will be one heck of a "this year sucked but I'm still gonna get something nice for Christmas" product.

Well if the SDK leaks and such pan out we should have three or four new devices from Apple by Christmas. It looks like a replacement iPhone, another iPhone, a Touch and a mystery device. I'm hoping that Touch / mystery device is the animal that can be called Newton Two. That is a large but highly portable tablet.

There would be nothing better to stimulate the economy. It certainly will be far better for the economy than Obamas get richer for the rich programs that are so common these days. At least with Apple a few chinese laborers will get a few dollars for a days work. Oh and let's not forget those "Designed in California" engineers that so ignorantly supported Obama. The rest of us will have to scrape by and dole out what little cash we have left to enjoy Apples low cost answer to the NetBooks.

Here is a design concept of an example for what I'm hoping for. Although I would alter the design slightly and make the screen a bit larger. Perhaps say......around 10"?

See? Larger screen but still small and pocketable. The riddle has been solved. At least I hope it will be. Keep hope alive!!

Yeah and with the stable fold out frame in the back it would function like a tablet. Except that you can fold this tablet away.

Um... well actually it is precisely a scroll and not a tablet.

(Perhaps you're using "tablet" to refer to any handheld computer relying on a touch screen for interaction. This would result in considerable confusion.)

I know its not a "tablet" but its easier to communicate with the majority of people out there who thinks its either going to be a "tablet" or a "netbook". The public has no concept of what Apple is about to do.
