which doesn't suprise me...is it is done and boxed, apple should be sending it out so they don't have to do it all at once and so people get it by the release date....

I ordered my copy on the 17th when it was first talked about during MWNY. So you figure if they are shipping I would have been in the first bunch to get a notice.

I ordered only Jaguar three days ago and now it is listed as "partially shipped." What does that mean?

Um, I think I got a shipping notification today... I'm not really sure, this is the strangest email I've ever gotten from Apple regarding an order...

Sure enough it's about my Jaguar order, but it doesn't say that jaguar has shipped, infact, when I check the order status page, it says "partially shipped" yet next to Jaguar it says, "has not shipped"

    Um... riiiiight...

    ciao,

Touché, Mr. Jobs. You screwed me blue on 10.1 and now you plan the same for 10.2. I ordered 10.1 via phone on the day it was announced and paid extra for expedited shipping. I finally received it about 2 weeks after the release date. Everyone else on every forum I read received theirs before me? even if they ordered a week later and shipped via ground. Now with 10.2 you cleverly have decided to ship all other orders early and wait until the 24 to ship mine. I ordered my copy of Jag as soon as it was available at Apple.com after your keynote. Some jackass at MacNN is claiming he ordered on the 24th and his has shipped. I must admit you are very crafty. All I want to know is why are you picking on me?

    EXACT same situation here.

What the "partial shipped" thing means in this case is that today (saturday) Apple boxed a bunch of copies of Jaguar that were pre-ordered into their shipping boxes with the costumers adresses and since its saturday Fed Ex or any other currier isn't picking them up. So basically, its half shipped. Everything is in the box and ready to go to your house, and Fed Ex just needs to come get it. So basically your copy of jaguar if you got that notice , is sitting in its shipping box on a pallet in the shipping area of an apple distribution center just waiting to get on the FEd Ex truck and get to your house. I don't think that Fed Ex does business on Sundays, but it should for sure ship Monday. So anyone who got 2 day should get it by wednesday. Hope this helps.

Does no one read posts before theirs anymore? This entire email was just posted right above yours. You could have just said, "I got that email too." Jeez, people. What's the point of a thread if you're not going to follow along and add to it???

-t (just a little irritated at how the concept of a thread on these boards means 'look at the subject' and post instead of read what others have said and then post)

Got the same email here. Boy, I have to admit it's been awhile since I've been so worked up about getting a piece of software.
