W00t.

I mean... can't you give a brief description of what has changed since 6C115? Should be a lot, judging by the build # difference.

Well, i installed it and the only thing that is imrpoved a bit is quartz extreme. It seems to be accelerated a bit. But FTP still sucks ass. Especially in finder! They didn't do any effort to fix that. The same goes for ftp in terminal.

What about the help viewer? Has that little problem been fixed?

Just because someone doesn't post here all the time like you, that does NOT necessarily discredit his information. There are several very reliable "moles" that only post very rarely. Some use a separate, infrequently used account just because they don't want the leak pinned to their regular poster names.

I'll throe a very specific question out there...

Has/will anyone try this build on a Mac w/a PCI Radeon? Is the bug fixed?

You sure thats not you, Mr. Senior VP of $atan.

Why would I lie about something that's so easily disproven?

My points in posting were to indicate that 10.2.1 must be close to release, as they only post the major stuff on ADC, and to give anyone here who has a seed key a heads-up to go get it before the email notification gets sent and the servers get flooded. Help Viewer, yes, Radeon PCI dunno.

alright... I'm sorry JJ_WI for being rude.

    excuse me.

and btw. I didn't wanted to say that it isn't true what he posted, I just wanted to express my anger because he didn't posted anything more specific.

and, btw. I'm here running Jaguar 6C115 with a dual monitor setup.

one of the graphics cards is a RADEON PCI, and I had no crashes or problems yet. Was there a bug ?

10.2.1. is 6D42 I think. I'm pretty sure 6D47 is the latest build.

ftp in terminal is totally separate from the Jag Finder or anything having to do with the GUIness of 10.2. So if you're having problems with FTP on the command line as well - it may not be anything Apple can really fix.

I've installed 6D44 and the FTP is noticeably improved for me.

WHAT? no fixes to finder-level ftp??? no, that would be a shame. :/

from what i´ve heard, 10.2.1 brings the windowmanager recompiled unter gcc3, so that could be what you are referring to as improved quartz extreme... surely i wouldn´t mind another tiny speedboost.

ah, Akac seemingly has had a better experience with ftp... so i´m optimistic again.

I've had no issues with FTP in the Terminal (except having to dredge up decade-old Unix knowledge ), but the Finder FTP issue bugs me slightly.

I really hope there's a fix for it soon: I wanna use this!

Has anybody got an old SCSI cd burner he could test in this new build? I still haven't given up hope that one day mine will work =) (Waitec WT624S)

    To clarify for Defiant...

...what I was trying to point out is that the creator of this thread made the topic headline so that everyone would immediately have a look at the thread ("6D44! YAY! Gotta have a look!"), while not posting any additional content. He could have at least said "I haven't tried it out yet though" or "These seem to have changed: ..." or so.

Nope, I'm using vanilla 10.2: I've had no problems using FTP in the Terminal on the servers that I've logged into, though maintaining websites that way is a pain, especially when you really desperately want to reorganize the directory structure of one of them.

Can only select ADC people get at this? Is it in the form of an update (vs. the whole OS)? If so, how large is it? I've also heard something has been done to improve QE in this update. Guess Apple just wanted to make good on their Aug 24 promise, and decided to fix the rest later. Such is life in OS land.
