I called Apple and they said it does.

When I post a statement I first make sure that it is true. I called Apple and questioned them about the subject. And they said my computer does play Blue Ray.

Again at the time I was told they could. You started it by calling me a Troll. What is wrong with you?

If you browse through the forums, you'll find many people who have installed OSX on their netbooks, and are using them with latest iLife and iWork suites. There is nothing old and outdated there as well.

You'd be surprised how few programs actually require power of latest Core 2 duo or Quad processors...

Now wait, how much HD space is on the net book?

How can you run all that including OSX with such little space and small Memory, 512 is it?

Hah yeah Flash can slow down my MB with a gig of RAM. I don't know whether it's Flash or the content's fault or maybe Firefox or Safari, but it sucks. That's the biggest thing I could see being a big deal on netbook, is the 'net', really, with the plugins like Flash needing ridiculous memory and CPU. That does seem to make me wonder whether iPhone will see Flash anytime soon. I mean it'd be nice, but not if it makes your phone "beachball".

Why are we indirectly promoting HP and Windows on an Apple forum?

I've read that sentence three times, and it just doesn't make sense to me.

As far as I can make out, it's an ethical issue he has with the idea that HP should offer two distinct product categories that address two complementary markets at the same time.

Anyone screaming "CHEAP!" in this day and age needs to spend more time reading the news. In the general case I have no beef with anyone who decides not to spend a penny more than they need to to get the usability they need, but especially now there are a lot of people for whom spending $300 is a significant decision, and spending $300 vs. $600 or $900 may determine whether they get to eat for the rest of the month. There is no benefit whatsoever in slagging on people for whom a high-performance laptop is not a priority, or even a possibility.

You are correct with that statement.

The point I was trying to make was beyond the issue of cost, but the intended use of the product in comparison to all the other products out their promoted against Macs.

Because it is small, lightweight and cheap but has a decent enough keyboard and screen for PowerPoint, Word and Explorer.

Frankly, it can handle iLife if I ever get around to making it into a Hackintosh.
