IPhone upgrades

I have the 3g IPhone...if I give this phone to my wife will have to pay the $200 penalty plus new phone price.



She is with AT&T also but has a blackberry Pearl

    Or you could "upgrade her phone" and then swap out SIM chips so you still get the new phone without the big price tag.

    I think she is in her first, maybe starting her second year with AT&T...will this still work?



    Swap out the SIM chips in the new and old IPhone?

    I don't think anybody here can guarantee that it'll work, but I can swap chips between the original iphone to my iphone 3G to my brother's iphone 3G. They all work fine. I don't see why it wouldn't.
