Airport extreme HELP please

Hi.

I had a Huawei modem connected to a router via ethernet that distributed my internet connection.

I have just bought an Airport extreme to share my printer aswell.

I need to set up the modem with the Airport extreme. I am with Tiscali for broadband. The modem is set-up to 192.168.1.1 and works as is.

However, As soon as I connect the Airport, I can't get it working.

Ideally I would love to get it working as a bridge only, with the Airport controlling everything, but I just can't get it working.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks!

most ISPs only allow one MAC address to connect. Your ISP may be restricting your connection to only allow traffic from your Huawei modem. Call your ISP for help or have them put the modem in bridge mode.
