Just want to get everyone's opinions on this matter. All the Windows users are like PCs are better than Macs. I just sit and listen to them at how stupid they sound, do you? A PC is a personal computer, which last time I checked a Mac is a personal computer, right? So, what are your thoughts on this?

I think that watching people get worked up over semantics is both fun and sad.

Apple Inc. in its advertising stresses PC and Mac as being different.

    Enjoy!

However, a Mac can run Windows, thus becoming a PC!

PCs are varied and Macs are just one of many.

The OP want to state a fact or sit on a face? I don't get it. I hope it is the latter because it sounds like porn.

Kinda of a useless face to debate.

PC means Personal Computer but it was also the name of an IBM computer released in 1981. PC became the term used to refer to a particular hardware platform which was widely cloned. Saying PC distinguished between this platform and the other platforms.

In other words, the intelligent answer is that there isn't a correct answer. Anyone that claims PC means definitely one or the other, just ends up looking foolish. It all depends on context and declaring it to be always one or the other isn't useful in any way.

Current PCs trace their lineage to the IBM PC and clones, hence being called PC's. Macs after the switch to Intel are also PCs.
