GPS for MacBook

I searched Garmin & Magellan's sites and both say their software is for PC only. Is this indeed the case? Anyone have experiences they can tell? I have an older Magellan that I use with my PC but am interested in getting a new one and want it to work with my MacBook. Comments are appreciated.

Your MacBook can run your GPS app(s) for Windows under Windows – any flavor – natively, in BootCamp, or in a virtual machine: in Parallels, VMware Fusion, or VirtualBox. Or maybe even without running Windows at all (eliminates Windows' viral vulnerabilities): in CrossOver, clucas. Worth trying.

So your GPS gadget should work with your MacBook, under whatever operating system.

I understand I could do that but I was hoping for a "native" Apple mapping program.
