Oh, did I mention unlocked iPhone as well.

Sonera makes it simple in Finland. Thank you State Department for sending me here. Another year please.

That's quite good, but not as great as an Austrian provider offers: My iPhone plan includes 1000 minutes of talk time (unlimited to all users of the same provider) + 400 minutes to European numbers, 3 GB of data, 1000 SMS (again unlimited to all users of the same provider) for 19,50 ? (incl taxes, about 28 $). I guess those quantities will be sufficient for my communication needs.

I had to pay 299 ? (incl taxes, 420 $) for the 16 gb iPhone 3GS itself, though, which unusually expensive for a locked device in Austria.

We'll have none of that SOCIALISM here!!! The MARKET will solve all of our problems... any second now, just you wait!

What? Things still aren't better in the US of A? Hold on a moment while we cut more taxes and more regulations... then you'll see!

(And sadly enough, even with Democrats supposedly in charge now, they're so far only timidly challenging this kind of Republican tripe.)

Apple is all the same not isolated from these sorts of issues. Google's Android in its current form is vulnerable to the same 10-second knockout as the iPhone, and Windows Mobile can also be controlled through a burst of text messages.

Hmm this unsourced claim seems false, from what I have read Google patched the hole over Android-based phones in a week, while we are still waiting for any news from Apple. Dunno for Windows Mobile.

I'm satisfied with their quick response to users' worries. Good job, Apple.

I guess that only leaves the windows mobile, Pre, and Blackberry vulnerable. I hope they all get hacked.
