Not so.. AT&T told the nice man from FCC that they don't have any say over the day to day App Store policies, procedures, rejections, etc....
AT&T wouldn't LIE to the FCC now would they?!?!
Fact is if AT&T gets away with the crap they've been pulling then the FCC is the biggest joke of a government agency in the history of the US! Given the rest of the government, it takes a lot to earn that unique distinction.
Everyone continues to repeat that single sentence, rather than the second one that followed:
We have received the letter and will, of course, respond to it.
That's called a dodge. And it's pretty clear AT&T does have a say, otherwise they wouldn't have openly admitted they did in SlingPlayer's Wi-Fi-only functionality.
I hope Apple blocks access to the application via a software update. If people want to use this junk, they can go buy another phone. Apple made it very clear their garbage is not welcome on the iPhone platform by rejecting their application outright.
That's nothing: I hope Apple sends Gunther von Hagens' Chinese workforce to all Google employees houses to kill and plasticize their children, posing them around their properties like exploded lawn gnomes. That would serve them right for even daring to try to write something so incomprehensibly lame for our excellent platform.

Please don't post this type of stuff here. You may not like the quality of products which are produced in China, but I feel you should not insult the PEOPLE. Just my $0.02.
Google Voice sounds like a great app. When it becomes available there are going to be many more people downloading and using it due to all the publicity.
Someone actually referencing wikipedia. Thanks, that was funny.
Anyhoi, nothing there conflicts with what I wrote. GV on iPhone is not VOIP. you are calling or being called over you voice line. At googles end, yes they use VOIP.
If someone on vonage or skype calls your home phone, they are using VOIP...you are not.
Why is this so hard for people?
conflicts? 'being called' What is this ? School yard top trumps?
I'm just have a point of view - you were very rude in your original response..
You are too hostile, seriously - be a little nicer huh?
It's doubtful that Apple will block a Web App since even hardcore Apple supporters would probably be adverse to Apple actively censoring the internet.
never underestimate the brainwashed!!! it only took 3 posts under yours to get this:

I didn't mean 'being called' as in you are being called out on your point. I meant that with GV, you make or receive a call on your voice line...lost in translation I guesss, you read it as a challenge of your manhood or something, but it was simply an explanation of how GV works.
You do not call over voip, so the GV app running on your phone is not a VoIP app. You call Google or receive a call from google and they call the party you are trying to reach and then connect you.

Yeah. But Apple rejected it.. Sobs..
Troll or ironic: take your pick...
All of the above?
You're not trying very hard. If you really want to win 'Troll Of The Week' you'll have to match wits with iPhone1982.
Not anymore. I believe he has been banned

He really was 'useful' here, while he lasted.
