Safari 4 now useful

Safari 4 promised a good leap forward when it was presented. But in my daily practice on my MBP it froze a couple times a day, taking my whole MBP down with it, and required a hard restart. Very uncharacteristic for a major Apple app. In fact unacceptable. And too much of a hassle for me, so I went back to using Firefox.

This last Safari 4 update seems to have cured that 'freezing' bug, though (it was a Java prob, afaik). I've been using Safari 4 ever since, and enjoyed its snappiness!

Now going to install it on my iMacs as the default browser too.

No, "we" don't. There is no Chrome for OSX.

But luckily Safari4 has been debugged since my O.P. and seems to not freeze my machine anymore. So I've actually gone back from Firefox to using Safari again as my default browser.

Back in my day, though (yes, I am an old coot), we used to debug applications before releasing them on the market...!

Your reply is a copy/paste job and your links are completely off topic.

So what does that make you?

It would be just a little easier to believe you if I didn't have it installed on my MacBook Pro.

Running Chrome 3.0.197.12 on 10.5.8 here. Flash support finally enabled but still super buggy.

It's truly difficult for us all to swallow our pride from time to time.

Developer builds have been available for some time.
