Mac wont start!!!

My Mac book wont load past the grey apple screen,

Iv Zapped the PRAM, And iv done a sys check.



Im new to Macs, so any advice would be greatly appreciated

    I had exactly the same symptoms 2 months ago.



    Have you tried alternative start up means like starting in 'Safe mode' (keep Shift pressed while starting up), or starting up from the installation DVD or a Leopard DVD holding "C".



    If those methods don't work either there is a good chance your internal harddisk has crashed. So I hope you have a good backup.

    This happens sometimes to Apple machines. Try to get it (drive) replaced.

    So does that mean your Mac is new also? I'm thinking warranty... check with the Apple Store.

    Before you jump to any conclusions... have you tried restarting it on the reinstall DVD?
