Maybe you could point out the factual errors in his statements about Microsoft?
I remember when MS changed their malware recommendations about Claria. Dilger has the facts exactly right about that, and he gives his interpretation of MS's motivbes. If you have a different interpretation of why MS suddenly took Claria software off the malware list, I'd be happy to hear it.
You're welcome to criticize Dilger all you want - it would be helpful to the rest of us if you pointed out specific factual errors, or gave your interpretation of the facts when it's different from his interpretation.
Agree with this comment, if you disagree at least provide us the factual evidence of why you disgaree, personal opinions based on empty air does not allow me to make intelligent decision on your comments.

It's also a bit annoying that none of these articles ever mention anything negative on Apples side. It always things like "Windows 7 has security features that OS X has, but their not needed" or just completely ignore things like the Exchange support article not even mentioning that it isn't compatible with Exchange 2003 and misses half the features. Doesn't help the image at all of the average MacFan, that if Steve Jobs wrapped up a dog shit in a titanium case a decent percentage of them would go out and buy it.
First part of this comment actually agreed with, BUT then insulting me (Yes I am MacFan)makes me ignore the entire comment, since again personal attacks are just waste of time to read.

Apologies I wasn't insulting you or any other MacFan more the article. Although you might not think it from what the majority of my posts say about Apple. I do like Apples products, all my computers are Macs, I've had iPODs since they first came out and I also have an iPhone. I just don't see that their any better than MS as a company, and don't think they should be made out to be something their not.
Reviews/Articles should be to sided, list plus points and negative points. A product that doesn't have any negatives doesn't exist in any market. Constant articles like these that simply appear to praise Apple irrespective of what the products like, and constantly bash MS in contradicting ways, IMO doesn't make me want to buy an Apple product. It just makes me annoyed with the author and editor as it presents an image where a MacFan is basically accepting what Apple dictating to them. Rather than going, yeah this is good but its still missing this...
Looks like the article's (quite rightly) been called into question here.
Looks like Apple is going to have to quit lying to it's users by telling them "Macs don't get viruses"... All computer's can get viruses, that's a fact of life.
Ha-ha. Is he referring to an artillery piece or short pants? I can see how you might get security out of owning a few cannons, but shorts always make me feel just a little more exposed.
(For the dictionary-challenged, the word he probably meant to use is "breaches.")

Reading the actual article he links, it's clear he's shot himself in the foot and then reloaded. The proof he offers of "an increase in attacks against Mac users" is a trojan horse inserted into pirated software. The only people who get infected are doing it by invitation. Then he turns evidence that this trojan might have been used in a botnet into "a Mac botnet was discovered." Very sloppy. No need to read further.

Or, perhaps they meant "sunny beaches?"
