I spent all my free time over at www.macmonkey.com. That place rocks! I love posting in an environment that has no rules to what you can say. If I want to say &^$#, I can...
I wasn't too active here - but when AI went down, I stumbled across to Think Secret and saw 68K and Bodhi, which were two names I remembered from here. (ThinkSecret's board was not well designed I felt.) Anyway, I was told about BadFlamingo and spent most of my time there. Not a high posting though.
I spent most of my time at MacNN.. Pretty good forums, but a little too white. Alot of the AI refugees went there. They have a good Mac OS X general discussion, but it got pretty hot and stupid in the time of the OS X beta builds.. (ie: 4k.., 5F, 5G64) , ("4K78 is GM!" - "no it isn't you f*ck!")
I'm a senior member there now, with over 120 posts orso..
MacNN and Ars have enough traffic to sustain a discussion but I like the people at BadFlamingo and OrangeInsider better. They were mostly AI refugees. I also posted semi-regularly at ThinkSecret. Everytime I started a thread there it always got a lot of views. A few times we got some decent discussions going too. I kind of liked the challenge of helping to try and get that board off the ground. It's just taking a little longer than I had hoped to get the bugs out of their forum software but I do like the idea they have of trying a different way to present a forum.
With AI back up I don't know how much time I'll spend on those other boards. Maybe I'll still be visiting MacNN with some frequency.
Heh, I had a stint moderating for Wincent.org, then his boards degraded and now no longer work. Then I Moderated for Appleonlooker. That was interesting, but not quite what I had in mind, and I posted a bit at ThinkSecret, Maccentral, and MacNN.
Here's hoping that AI is back for a long time.
I didn't do that much posting while AI was down. I posted a little at MacNN but mainly lurked there and at OrangeInsider and Pink Flamingo a little.

Just what I did... However, MacNN was my main hangout. I love the OS X developer forum!
I went to BadFlamingo a few days after the site started up. I got elected as a Mod, racked up over 500 posts (highest at the boards), and then got booted from my mod status when I announced that I thought BadFlamingo would suffer now that AI was back up.

Also lurked at MacNN and Orange occassionally.
Anyway it's good to see AI backup and running!
Now I can (not-so)intellectually whore myself again.

Holy Reincarnation Batman, I can't believe the AI forums are back online...I thought it was the end of an era!

with their "republishing soon"-esque message...

true dat. I went from smack-fu in training to Ars Centurion during the course of the blackout and got to attend an Ars meet.
