Gonna see Harry Potter this weekend.

Monster's Inc is on my "to see" list.

    Looking forward to
    • LOTR - the closer we get to the release and the more info gets out, the more optimistic I've become that this movie is going to be utterly great.

    • Black Hawk Down - Jerry is the man. So is Ridley Scott. Great cast. Great story. This movie is going to be awesome.

    • The Time Machine - One of my favorite sci-fi books of all time. All I can say is that is had frickin *better* be a kick ass movie.

I've seen one movie adaptation (I dunno if there were more) of the Time Macine; it absolutely did not compare to the book. It was amateurish and comical; the Morlocks were not described in the slightest! Other than the fact that they ate people. I hope the new one lives up to the book.

If anyone sees that Robert Redford and Brad Pitt espionage flick, let us know how it is. I think Pitt is a very good actor but this plot seems a little suspect (I hate the way Hollywood advertises their movies...)...

Otherwise, I wouldn't mind seeing Monsters Inc, even though it's a kid flick. I usually don't go for those Pixar masterpieces but I saw a couple clips and it looked pretty funny.

It's probably been 2 to 3 years since I went to see a movie.

Most look like crap, and the videos usually confirm it. But then, Hollywood is so very good at producing crap. But then, none of the independent, or European/Australian films appealed to me either.

However, I will probably break my drought by seeing Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

Hmmm, neither from Hollywood. Is there a theme here?

I'm definately gonna see the Fellowship of the Ring. I may or may not see Harry Potter, depending on the reviews and the opinions of a few movie freak friends. I've heard really good things about Monsters Inc, might see that one. Other than that, no, not really (not until the Two Towers comes out in 12/02 ).

A minor nitpick, but it is

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

An English book, with an English title.

    Thank you.

Now back to normal programming ...
