    Surely this isn't that surprising given that Leopard is also UNIX 03 certified?

    They gutted quite a bit of legacy out of Leopard for SL and they've updated bits from FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD as their own flavors of code.



    It's not a matter of paying a fee and presto! I've got recertification.



    Note: Darwin 10 has yet to be released for general viewing.

    Sorry, I was coming from the position that it's not surprising Apple would be aiming at UNIX certification for Snow Leopard, given that Leopard was the first OS X to be UNIX certified. I'd assumed given they made the effort for Leopard that it would be something they continue with henceforth.



    Anyway, it's good to know that OS X remains UNIX certified
