"...step on the stones

flesh becomes water

wood becomes bone..."

im really not sure what these words mean, but its an awesome song...

i discovered toad the wet sprocket recently, and dont know why more people dont know of em...

i know its old shit and all, but some of these songs are incredible--i got fear, dulcinea, pale, and ps now...love just about every song on all of em--songs like butterflies, nightengale song, in my ear, nanci...just great, all of them.

its great fer mellowing out after a day of crap in organic or whatever

i hate discovering musicians after theyve broken up...oh well...........

at least they left some great music

sry, just had to throw this in...im stalling fer studying fer my organic test...damn i hate that class so much...

I'm pretty sure the lead singer is dead. They put out a couple of albums, though. They had a nice enough colledgy??? pop sound. Too bad, coulda turned out a pretty decent group.

wrong. glen phillips (lead singer/songwriter for toad the wet sprocket) is alive and kicking with a new solo cd out titled "abulum". very good. see <a href="http://www.glenphillips.com"; target="_blank">http://www.glenphillips.com; for more info.

dude, don't scare me with that whole "lead singer frm toad the wet sprocket is dead" thing. after hearing about george harrison, i thought you were saying that he just died. whew.

anyway, yeah as dav said, glen phillips fskin rocks. check out the live version of "walk on the ocean" he did with john mayer (another musician seriously worth checking into, if you like toad). on the album, i'm particularly fond of "darkest hour" and "back on my feet."

but yeah, walk on the ocean will always be my personal fav. you have earned unrescindable respect just for mentioning it.

Woha! On your sugestion I went and grabbed a few mp3s.

Im on my way to buy one of their albums (sugested in another thread). I cant beleive music like this still exists, it reminds me of what I listened to when I was a kid.

    Thanks a million.

I personally love windmills. Great song if you know the Don Quixote story. They were a brainy band. "They raped my brother..." Only a group with a great appreciation of double entendre could have used a line so effectively...As a matter of fact, time to dig up my dulcinea CD and rip it to my iPod. Thanks alliance...

    [edit: corrected a song title]
