Why did Apple release Safari 4.0.4 for Tiger but not the 006 security update?

This make no sense!



They skip the 2009-006 security update, but then release a new Safari.



Either 10.4 is dead or it isn't...

    It's dead

    Safari 4 will most probably be last version for 10.4.

    They should have made yesterdays Safari 4.0.4 for Leopard only then.

    10.4 is close to the end of support.



    As of this year, the 10.4 security updates sometimes come way after the newer OS receives them, but don't hold your breath.
