Mac Pro 2007 loud fan noises

My Mac Pro from 2007 has some seriously intense fan issues when playing games now, especially World of Warcraft. It varies from a low fan noise (about the volume of a conversation) and will rev up to a loud "take-off" noise that will last for awhile before settling to the previous volume. It started sometime recently, probably 3-4 months ago. The Mac Pro has 2GB of 667MHz ram, and a Radeon X1900.



If anyone has one of these Pros and has experienced this, or has heard of anything like this any info you might have would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Try opening it up and using a can of compressed air to clean the dirt from the Graphics card. Sitting on the floor, mine picks up dust and dog hair after a while.

    That worked fantastically. Mine sits on the floor as well. Blew alot of dust and fur out of it. Thanks for the suggestion!
