I like the idea that the Droid appeals to REAL MEN and solves their needs.

Hey now! Don't be dissing my white iPhone!

It's all fun and games until the next iPhone. Then it's back to the drawing board for everyone else.

I agree with *yawn*, the iPhone is boring. Power to the Droid!

And Bush deserved it, don't lump him with the other criminals.

Bush and the Treasury created a wonderful real estate bubble that put a lot of people to work. Only fools didn't know what it was.

It was the Congress that changed hands under Bush and California (yea that bankrupt I.O.U giving California) liberal socialist ideals that got some banks AND the government controlled Freddie and Fannie into the failure of the sub-prime market in 2005. Their failure to adhere to the tried and true three rules of lending: Credit, Collateral and Character; is the primary reason our economy is in the mess that's it's in.

The Bush Treasury had to take control and fire the CEO's of both Freddie and Fannie, after repeatably warning the out of control new Congress about their "Socializing the risks and privatizing the profits" - Alan Greenspan to Congress, concerning the two GSE's. It's this stopping of their socialist "everyone has a right to own a house" ideals is the reason they blamed the Bush administration for the near worldwide economic collapse, when it really was their fault of irresponsible mandatory lending to the GSE's and banks under the Community Reinvestment Act revisions made by socialist Bill Clinton.

In a real estate bubble, it's speculative, a game of musical chairs, the last owning the property loses.

It's a game not for the working, struggling or the poor. But the Democratic controlled Congress made it so.

Conservative banks are doing fine today. The banks that managed to dump their toxic sub-prime mortgages before the bubble blew are also doing ok. Everyone who prepared for the downside are doing ok today.

Everyone who has taken even a entry level economics course in high school know what a post real estate bubble recession is. What made this one so much worse was the sub-prime.

Rich people usually only gamble with what they have extra, not their only house.

Where did the first and most banks fail than anywhere else? California.

Where the sub-prime lending mess started? California.

Where is the "home" of the liberal media empire? California.

Read Charles Gasperino's book: The Sellout. Explains who is responsible for making this mess worse than it is.

    It was the Congress ...

This is just utter, raving, lunatic nonsense.

It never ceases to amaze me how people in general can have reasonable intelligent arguments about technology, and then when politics comes up they start frothing at the mouth like moronic three year olds.

Unless you are Rush Limbaugh in real life, ... you have been brainwashed.

I have to admit, I don't normally agree with much of anything you say, but finally, somebody who has sense on these issues. Someone who actually does research, knows the facts, and makes a rational decision, rather than jumping on the "Bush sucks" bandwagon just because it was the cool thing to do.

Oh, yet another squabble over nothing and 4-letters flying over the topic. Just as on french forums...

Our obscenities are usually way milder, though.

    Dear All,

It would seem some of you require a reminder as to the posting guidelines.

I have deleted a few recent posts in this thread in an attempt to stop it derailing completely.

Please try to make sure your posts are on topic and add to the discussion with well-reasoned arguments rather than personal attacks and slights.

FYI Google Android has been in development since before 2005.

I like the HTC Droid Eris over Motorola.. the M Droid is a piece of sh&t..

I have an iPhone & I have played with the Droid for a few weeks. Android is a great OS that will get better as time goes on but to me, it still has the Beta feel to it. The greatest thing about Google is the updates it sneaks into everything they do..

I do think Apple has more R & D that they hold back until they need to use it.. When they get competition, they will show something better. Competition = Good.. and to whomever it was that said there is nothing left for Apple to improve on, thats not what makes Apple, Apple.

My final thought on stupid ass weeds that write crappy articles (I am not a writer so don't give me crap about my writing).. The iPhone pushed everyone to be better.. All the years of companies making pieces of sh&t then Apple comes along and blows everyone out of the water.. Show some Fing respect..I do have to mention the RIM's blackberry deserves respect for trying to make phones better but those asswipes charged for everything extra on the phone.

The thing about the iPhone vs. Droid comparison is the availability of aftermarket accessories. First, there basically is none for any or the Droid phones. Second, you can get accessories for the original iPhone, still. My LG phone I got from Verizon last year is basically obsolete and I can't even get a case for it. The same fate awaits these Droid phones. The iPhone has longevity as a purchase. This is something the Droid users are missing out on.

would I want to do that? It is a burden for those of us that are gifted with above average intelligence to fight ignorance and stupidity wherever we find it, and you sir, are providing me with plenty of ammo. Besides, while walking in the woods, sometimes you can't help but poke the pile of poo...

    Nice ad hominems, BTW.
