CONFIRMED: NEW SEGWAY UPDATE COMING IN MARCH!
I just heard from a friend of a friend that the current version of Segway will be updated to include an independent balancing-unit co-processor, will get a 50 Mhz speed bump over current models, might have some translucent plastics that I'm sure KamenKapSol is working on, and will finally have the Rosetta handwriting recognition built into the handles!
So, should I buy now or WAIT?
I don't for a second believe that we will see Pirelli tire upgrades, better wheels and such. Plus, the low-rider 'jumping' unit is just FANBOY DREAMS!
I'm going to try and graft on my banana seat from my childhood Schwinn Sting-Ray since I'm even too lazy to stand for a couple of minutes.
Should Apple come out with a Segway-compatible product?
(tongue-in-cheek-ingly, JRC)

Seriously, who's going to buy one for $8000?

I thought the article said that consumer models (when available) would be sold for approx. $3000?
