It hit me...

It must be a direct take from something in Star Trek... and I met it is some type of slip top communicator device... computer combination something.

I don't know... just thinking outloud!!!

Unless... it is something with WARP power!?

Here is what I really think it means...

To bodly go where no PC has gone before... I bet they are adding iPOD support for Windows platforms.

Hmmm I thought some Windows developer hack a way for PeeCees to use the iPod already... but if Apple WERE to develop an 'iTunes' for the PeeCee that sure would be interesting...

I could sorta see this working...

    The Plan...

1] Come out with some 'too cool device' (Mac Only)

    2] Wait for the hype...

3] 3/6 Months down the road release a Windows App for it.

What does it do for Apple? Well it gives them the press they want and little by little more Windows users will start to see what Apple is really about.. They also get hardware sales profits from the Windows users...

At first glance it's not a bad idea... It would be kinda nice for the Windows folks to have to WAIT for the software... We've been doing it for quite a while...

After all who else thought that Apple was CRAZY (from a company profit standpoint anyway) not to have the iPod work with Windows.... I mean it's one thing to develop a great product but to then limit the sale... I found that pretty weird.

Hadn't thought of that...if that was the big surpirse (which actually does not concern the mac community at all), i would be seriously pissed.

As for a communicator-like StarTrek device, isn;t the Nokia 2-way radio kinda already that type of thing? I have never read any specs on it or used one but I would think it would have to work more than throughout the office building or something. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
