IXQuick for your privacy

Everytime you Google, Google records your search terms and your IP address. So, with some analyses and 'profiling', Google knows pretty much everything about you! Google keeps that info for at least 18 months. And who knows who else has access to it (hackers, marketeers, law enforcement, other blackmailers...). So consider your data compromised!

IXQuick doesn't. IXQuick doesn't record IP addresses like Google does. So your identity and your search patterns cannot be combined anymore.

Have a look, you might like it. And get better privacy protection in the bargain.

Sometimes it's good for companies to be able to track trends so they can deliver products that satisfy consumers:

From the hot topics, you can see people want a slate that can allow them to watch netflix, the weather, sports, reality TV and they want to sync it with a Nexus One. It's anti-competitive in a way as Google can take advantage of this info and can be a privacy concern.

However, Google's relevancy algorithms will likely consider geographic location and context and use your info to optimize the searches for others. If they encrypt everyone's data it makes searches results less relevant.
