MacNN Lounge is boring these days, anyone notice?

I know that a lot of you folks were camping out on MacNN waiting for AI to reopen.

Has anyone noticed how BORING the forum over there has become since this one came back up.

Coincidence? I think not.

So it was the AIers who kept MacNN interesting? Riiiight...

No, it got boring over there long before that: about six months ago. A combination of an influx of semi-literate teenagers (no offense to fully literate teenagers intended) and the departure of some of the more intelligent members.

What's been annoying me are the cross-posters -- those who feel they have to post the same topic at both MacNN and AI. There's been a lot more of that since AI's been back up (compared with pre-outage, I mean).

I always hated that too. You see the exact same freaking topics in both places. Why have different UBBs if people are going to do that?

It's been very boring lately. The only reason why I got to the Lounge now is to read PowerBookDude's problems because he doesn't listen to a word I say on AIM.

The cnversations at the MacNN Lounge have become much less interewsting since AI opended up. I dunno why.

I've been known to post the same topic in different forums. Jujst trying to get as much exposure to an idea...

Me too. There are posters on each board who don't visit the other boards all that much.
