New or lower priced iMac

When do you think Apple with either lower the price of the curren iMac line and/or come out with some new variations (like i3 or i5 in the 21.5 in model)? I really want to get one, but don't know if the timing is right. I'm currently leaning towards a 21.5 in iMac b/c of the issues with the 27 in models and it just seems too large for my small desk and office. Thanks.

    Sure, those CPUs will probably find their way into even the lowest 21.5" model. When? Nobody but Apple knows.

    According to it, the iMac is mid-life cycle for the current gen, so it could be 3-4 months before another refresh.

    The new processors will filter down into the low-end models. As mikef said, only Apple knows when.



    As for lower prices, I doubt it. If you want cheaper, Apple will happily sell you a refurb.
