Generally speaking, TomTom devices aren't as good at tracks as they are at routes when compared with other dedicated GPS devices. They appear to be continuing their trend with the iPhone app. The off-road focused GPSes (e.g. the Garmin 60Cx, but there are loads of others) are better at following specific tracks since it's less likely the computer will be able to interpolate a route on a dirt/goat path. Tracks usually imply less auto-routing between the marked points along the way.
If you're interested in an iPhone app that follows the path more directly, consider Motion-X GPS (not the -Drive version).

I ride a 2005 GSX-R750 and wear an Element Fastrack helmet (http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...tooth%20Helmet). It makes it really easy because everything is built right into the earpieces and the mouthpiece... PLUS - a helmet should be worn when riding anywhere anyway!
The helmet allows me to connect to my iphone when I'm riding and allows any functionality you would expect from any other bluetooth device. I don't wear this helmet on a daily basis, I do believe there is a time to talk and a time to ride but it's very nice to have for longer trips to listen to music, etc...
I am sitting here wondering why someone would love an iphone and then trash it because you cant talk while driving, wow! How much can a person hear over the noise of a Harley anyway? Its not like you are riding so long that your life could change because you couldn't receive a phone call.
